Jack Butler
Joey Kelly, well-known for his work with the power pop band Buddy Love, took a bold step in the 1990s to reinvent himself musically. During Buddy Love’s indefinite hiatus, he sought out a new sound and the right musicians to deliver hard-hitting, intense rock and roll. This led to the formation of JACK BUTLER with Bob Fox, Eric Schiebler, Bobby Emerson, and George Piero.
Following months of dedicated songwriting and constant rehearsals, JACK BUTLER released their self-titled debut album. The band’s gritty, powerful rock style resonated with audiences and brought them to renowned New York City venues such as CBGB and Acme Underground. JACK BUTLER was even featured at the Arthur Kane memorial concert at the Continental.
Capturing a raw rock essence that reflected Joey Kelly’s passion for pushing musical boundaries, JACK BUTLER’s contribution to the New York music scene is a testament to Kelly’s adaptability and dedication to rock and roll.
